Here are 2 tools straight from nvidia - Adobe Photoshop Plug-ins. and DDS Thumbnail Viewer. aka: things you need to have when working with .dds ;)
Thumbnail Viewer allows you to view .dds files in windows just as if they were .bmp - you can see them in thumbnail view.
Adobe Photoshop Plug-ins is pack of: NVIDIA Normal Map Filter. NVIDIA DDS Plug-in. NVIDIA Mipster Script and NVIDIA Cube Map Shuffler. Must-have if you work with textures for Homeworld/HW2.
